CMC KidZ Swim Party Tonight!

Tonight we have Albert Oakland Pool to ourselves!!!  I have done this with another party before and it was so much fun!  They have a large play area (zero entry & 18" or so deep) with a fabulous play set for toddlers and younger kids.   Then they have diving boards, a super fun slide (you must be like 50" tall or so) and a huge pool to enjoy.

This is our last fun gathering before school starts.  Come & have some water fun!  Even if you haven't joined ANY of our fun this summer, please come out and see how much fun we really have so you don't miss out next year.

Pool Party This Sunday - August 8th!

Happy heat index to everyone!

All summer long we have had a blast with the CMC KidZ.  Thanks to D&H Drugstore, we have provided water bottles & t-shirts this year.  We have one more event before we call it quits for the year.  Because we are so excited about this final event, we would like to extend the invite to all CMC members.  Whether you have kids, like kids ... okay, we don't want anyone that doesn't like kids....

Bear Creek Trail Ride Tomorrow Night

Don't miss Bike Night tomorrow (tues 7/13) night @ 6pm at Bear Creek trail off North Garth.  It is sure to be a fun time!

Just bring your bike.  Snacks & drinks will be provided.  If you have gotten your D&H water bottle bring it- if not I'll have some there to give out.  We also have some extra t-shirts to give out!

We really enjoy this trail for this ride because it goes in a circle.  It is easy to keep track of the kids and go at your own pace.

With Mighty Max less than 2 weeks away we will also do a short little run afterwards for those that want!

Good Afternoon!

Below is a run-down of the final events of the summer.  We hope you can join us for the next few events- and for sure the summer finale!

Tonight- It's the last track night with the Columbia Track Club.  Hickman Track 6pm.  It is so much fun for the kids!  Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't rain out tonight.  Check their website before going- www.ctc.coin.org

7/24  Mighty Max!  Kids Triathlon- Wilson's Beach Club  (see Ultramaxtri.com to register)
7/24  CMC Picnic/Swimming/Fishing at Judy Dwyer's 11-4pm
8/8    CMC KidZ 2010 FINALE from 6-8pm - Swim Party at Albert Oakland Pool  (we will have the whole pool to ourselves!)

Save The Date For The CMC Picnic!

This is the same day and the Youth Triathlon and what better way to celebrate our Kidz and families then with a picnic after the event!

Here are the details:

When: Saturday, July 24th from 11am-4pm
Where: The home of Judy Dwyer (5502 S Route K, just south of Rock Bridge Elementary School)
Activities: We will have so many fun activities including: Volleyball, Washers, Swimming, Yard Rat, etc...)
Kidz: We invite all of our CMC Kidz to bring their fishing gear and see who can catch the biggest fish out of Judy's lake!
Food: CMC will provide Buckingham's and YOU bring something to share!


We'll ask for RSVP's as the date gets closer.

Track Night Moved To Friday

Update on Track Night w/ Columbia Track Club: 

There will be no Track Night tonight.   For the next 2 weeks they have moved track night to Friday night at 6pm at Hickman High School's track. Below is the schedule- and you can also look up their web address for info @ www.ctc.coin.org

Track Night this Wednesday!

Just a reminder about the Columbia Track Club's Kids Track Night.  CMC KidZ is tagging along on this event for the next 5 weeks.

What: A super fun track night!  Well organized- for ages 3+
When: Wednesday, June 9th @ 6pm
Where: Hickman High School Track
Why: For the kidZ!  It's great exercise and a very fun time for the kids.  It's also some proud moments for the parents!

It is $1 (yes, $1!!!) for all 6 weeks.  Every Wed. night through July 7th.  The kids get participation and placement ribbons.

This event is held by the Columbia Track Club.  We will be there with our yellow CMC KidZ tshirts on.  If your kids have CMC t-shirts please wear them so we know who you are!  If you do not have the D&H t-shirt or water bottle, please find me (bright yellow CMC KidZ t-shirt) and I will give you one!

Look forward to another fun summer track night with the kidz!

Trekking for Kids

Trekking for Kids will be having a fun event on June 12th. Individuals, families and kids are all welcome. There's a race for everyone!  

Kids can participate in the 5K walk/run or do a shorter sprint race. There will be kids prizes and youth t-shirts too.

COST: $20.00/kid or adult or $60 for a family of 4 or more
WHERE: Village of Cherry Hill, Columbia, MO
WHEN: June 12 @ 8:30am (registration begins @ 7:30am in front of Pilates For Every Body)
WHAT: 5K Walk/Run and kids race

 All proceeds go to benefit orphaned children in Guatemala.

Stick around after the race because there will be live bands, food, drinks dunk tank, bounce house, face painting, a scavenger hunt, golf game, hourly drawings and prizes!

Kids Bicycle Safety Challenge

WHAT: Kids Bicycle Safety Challenge
WHEN: Sat, May 15, 10am-Noon
WHERE: Shelter Insurance parking lot off Broadway
WHO: Open to all families
COST: Free!!!

This is not a CMC KidZ event, but it would be great to attend and learn all about bike safety. Bring your bike!

CMC KidZ Swim Party

We will be having a swim party at the end of the summer to celebrate all kids that participated in at least 1 CMC KidZ activity over the summer.


WHEN: August 8, 2010, 6-8pm
WHERE: Oakland Park Pool
WHO: CMC Kidz members, siblings and parents
COST: Free!
FOOD: Shakespeare's Pizza & drinks will be served

Kids Triathlon this Summer!

A kids triathlon (run, bike, swim) will be held at Wilson's Beach Club on July 24, 2010. In the next couple weeks more info should be up and running at ultramaxtri.com. Hope to see you there!

Youth Track Nights

For the beginning of CMC Kidz summer activity schedule, we will be participating in Columbia Track Club's Youth Program held at the Hickman High School track.

There will be different types and lengths of track races, plus a long jump and shot put competition. Ribbons are awarded for 1st - 6th place in most events.

WHEN: Wednesday nights @ 6pm, June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & July 7
WHERE: Hickman High School track
COST: $1 for all 6 weeks of track!
AGES: Kids of all ages are welcome

On June 2nd we will have a tent set up at the event and will be handing out CMC Kidz t-shirts and water bottles to any kids that want to participate in CMC Kidz events for the rest of the summer. Drinks and snacks will be provided also.
